Tiny 2D Point and Click Adventures in Unity

Wednesday, February 13, 2019
6:30pm - 10:00pm

DMG Workshop • At the Toronto Media Arts Centre (32 Lisgar Street)

Create itty-bitty single-scene adventure games in Unity and Photoshop!

Participants will use Photoshop to create or find some backgrounds, character sprites and props for our scenes. Using some free, provided assets in Unity, we’ll create a pathfinding node system for our character to walk around the room and interact with their environment, hook sprite sheets into an animator so they can turn and walk, pepper in some props for them to examine and interact with, maybe build a mystery!

Experience in Unity, C# and Photoshop is a bonus but not required, most of the magic will happen in the inspector.

What to Bring

  • Unity: Install the latest version of Unity. It can take over an hour to download and install, so please come prepared so you can make the most of your time!
  • Photoshop: Recommended but not required.
  • Mouse: Using Unity and Photoshop with a trackpad is not fun. If you have your own mouse, please bring it. We have a few loaners if not!
