Our presentations this month are centered around dames who participated in Toronto Game Jam last month. It’s one of the largest game jams in the world, and organizer Jim McGinley said it was the most gender-diverse TOJam in its 9 years of existence.
We’d like to think that’s due in part to the hard work of this community over the last couple of years. We sure saw a lot of you there crunching on some amazing games!
Here’s who we’ve got lined up to share their experience and demo games:
Did you participate in TOJam? Never presented at our speaker socials before? We want you! Drop us a line if you’re interested in doing a quick presentation about your game and TOJam experience.
DMG Toronto holds monthly speaker socials—open to everyone—to expose the Toronto creative community to dames involved with creating games and game art in a wide variety of roles, from beginners just dipping their toes in to seasoned developers and designers; and to provide a platform for these participants to find encouragement, resources, and a venue for speaking about their work in a supportive and productive environment.
Would you like to present at an upcoming social? We’d love to have ya! Just drop us a line.
