Get a handle on the basics of the texturing pipeline with this introductory workshop for 3D artists!

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • The basics of UVs
  • How to apply UVing techniques to unwrap an object (provided by instructor)
  • How to export .FBX into Substance Painter
  • The basics of Substance Painter
  • How to texture an object

Attendees can walk away with a finished project!

Prerequisites

You should have a basic understanding of modelling concepts to get the most out of this workshop.

Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided.

Instructor: Nansy Khanano

Nansy is a texture artist at Secret Location in Toronto. She has a background in Fine Arts with a specialist in painting. Check out her portfolio.


What to Bring

Artists should have a basic understanding of modelling concepts to get the most out of this workshop. We will be using Maya and Substance Painter. Bring your own computer and input device if you can; we have a limited number of computers available for use. Email us at events@dmg.to if you would like to reserve one.
