August 30 marked the close of our first year as an incorporated not-for-profit. We think it was a wildly successful year – in no small part because of you! You’re an important part of our plans for the future, and your insight can help us design even better programs in 2014.

Note: The following information pertains to anyone who mentored, volunteered, spoke, or participated in a program between Sep. 1, 2012 and August 30, 2013, and who does not have a currently active DMG membership.
Your presence at our first annual general meeting in February 2014 would be amazing. But first, we need to make sure your membership status is in order!
Create account on DMG.to so we can confer your membership.
Once you create your account, we’ll review your details and grant your membership based on your participation level:
If you would prefer a different class of membership, simply let us know.
If you already have an account on the DMG site, and/or are a monthly or yearly membership plan, you don’t need to do anything – we’ll extend your membership for you!
Attend our member meeting for insight and input into our operations, finances, and plans for the future.
Our AGM will take place on January 28, 2014, 7 p.m., at Bento Miso, 862 Richmond Street West.
A note about differences between Dame and Ally membership
Ally membership is intended for members of the community with more experience, so typically mentors choose this type. Anyone of any gender may apply for Ally membership.
A significant difference between Ally and Dame membership is the right to vote at member meetings. Only people who self-identify as a “dame” – an open, inclusive definition – may apply for Dame membership.
If you are someone with a bit of experience in video games, have mentored or volunteered at DMG, identify as a “dame,” and are interested in voting rights, please let us know via email.
