🔥 Applications are CLOSED! Keep your eyes open for our other workshops and classes! 🔥
Mayhem is one of DMG's oldest programs, bringing a small cohort of marginalized folks together to make their first interactive experience.
This program consists of 8-10 artists taking part in a 6-week intensive that introduces them to integrating interactive digital design into their work. The courses will be online, with an optional in-person showcase at the end of it all.
Whether it is looking for the starting tools to make your first game or wanting to integrate interactive media into your artistic practices.
As the program is an intensive built around creating a workable end piece (though not necessarily a polished piece!) the application is centered around what you would like to make throughout the program.
Program Includes:
4-5 weeks of hands on workshops
Mentorship throughout the entire process
A final digital exhibition of work from the program
8-10 other cohort pals to support the process
Classes will take place on online Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons (EST)
Week 1: Ideation + Game Design Documentation
Week 2: Intro to Programming + Narrative Design
Week 3: Sound Design + Art Direction & Assets
Week 4: How to Market Your Game & Build a Community
Week 5 + 6: Mentorship + project polish
Sept 11: Applications Open
*new!* Sept 30: Application Deadline
Oct 14: Mayhem BEGINS!
